Zusha will perform at The Hotel Café in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 31. The band will take the stage at 9 p.m. with the doors opening at 8 p.m. For those who are not yet familiar with the group, here is some additional information on the particular act in question:

Zusha is a Manhattan, New York-based band founded in 2013. They are named after the Hasidic luminary named after Zusha of Hanipol. The band roster features Shlomo Gaisin (lead vocals), Elisha Mlotek (percussion and vocals), and Zachariah Goldschmiedt (guitar and vocals).

As a Hasidic folk or world soul band , their signature sound is an audio oysmishn (if you will) of multiple music genres including Jewish rock, folk, soul, jazz, reggae, and folk rock. Their material is generally focused on a Hasidic musical style called neegoo, which is essentially wordless melody. The tuneful trio is not, however, comfortable with putting a “Jewish music” label on their material - they feel their work surpasses that oversimplification. Their music resume includes three singles, one EP, one full-length studio album, and one music video.

Their debut disc is an eponymous EP that dropped in 2014. Their most recent release is their premiere full-length platter titled Kavana which hit the record racks earlier this month. It climbed to number two on Billboard's World Albums chart.

There is no supporting act for this 21 and over performance. Pre-sale tickets are $15.00 with an additional service charge of $3.00. Ticket pre-sales will close at 6 p.m. on Jan. 31.

The Hotel Cafe is located at 1623 1/2 N Cahuenga Boulevard, Los Angeles, California.
